We thought that if we could give them cameras, maybe we could understand the way they see the world a little better, and then maybe we could also share that perspective with you. So. We bought a load of disposable cameras (not an easy task - they are almost extinct!). We taught a few basic elements of photography, and had some fun. It’s no surprise that these young women have incredible talent in photography. At our shelter, the residents are always creating something new - writing music, knitting hats, making jewelry, practicing calligraphy. These photos were taken by young women living at Sarah’s House, our aftercare shelter for survivors of child sex trafficking. We are excited to share these beautiful photos with you throughout the year.

NORTH SULAWESI • North Sulawesi is the location of Sarah’s House, our first shelter for survivors of child sex trafficking. Our initial partnered police anti-trafficking conference was held here in 2013, and peer-to-peer training has been ongoing. Trafficking of children from this region has declined significantly in the past four years, and a second conference will move us closer to shutting down this pipeline. #GiveRescue

SOCIAL CHANNEL Videos

While I'm not an expert videographer, I enjoy working with existing footage to produce short, engaging videos for social media with Premiere Pro. Videos consistently increased social media engagement on Facebook and Instagram. The videos below are two examples of short videos I produced for Compassion First's social media.
